Christoph Seybold was born in Stuttgart to German-Austrian parents. At the age of 11, he joined the preliminary class of Wolfgang Marschner at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. He began his studies with Zakhar Bron at the Cologne Musikhochschule. Later he moved to Jens Ellermann and Adam Kostecki at the HMTM Hannover.
He also received important musical impulses through his collaboration with Georgy Pauk, Pinchas Zuckerman and Rainer Kussmaul.
He has performed regularly as a soloist and chamber musician in major halls in Europe, Asia and America. Among them the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Laeizhalle Hamburg, the Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg, the Herkulessaal and the Philharmonie Munich, the Liederhalle Stuttgart, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, the Glocke Bremen, the Philharmonie St. Petersburg, the Philharmonie Osaka, Opera City Tokyo, the Glenn Gould Studio Toronto, Philharmonie Paris, Rudolfinum Prague and the Theatro Colon in Buenos Aires. He has performed at festivals in Schleswig Holstein, Mecklenburg Vorpommern, Geneva, Lugano, Lisbon, Gran Canaria, Barcelona, Catania, Oslo and the Harvard Music Association in Boston. He has also received invitations to perform with the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra, Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, Prague Radio Orchestra, North German Philharmonic Orchestra Herford, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Classical Philharmonic Orchestra Bonn, Capella Istropolitana, Philharmonia of the Nations, Chamber Orchestra Hanover, Heilbronn Symphony Orchestra, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra and Warsaw Symphony Orchestra.
Christoph Seybold also teaches as part of a lectureship at HMTM Hannover.
